I really need your help how does those images move as a opening part which revealed the second video. I know its zoom in and out but i have no clue how the transparent images linked or embed to the video itself. When i tried in vegas only the images move but the next video didnt follow. I have search in googles, youtubes but theres no related tutorials or articles.

Thanks.

For the image to come in without a background, you need to save your Photoshop image in a format that supports alpha channel transparency. PNG is a good one and works well in Vegas.

After you bring the PNG into Vegas, you may or may not need to fiddle with its event properties. If it comes in without the background, you're okay. If it's still white (or black), right-click the image's event, choose properties, and go to the Media tab. There, try different options for the "alpha channel" setting.

If this doesn't help, or if you need more, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi, and thanks for visiting. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but I'm guessing you want to know how to duplicate a particular effect in Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video? If so, it's a rather long video -- you'll have to be more specific about which effect you mean.

Thanks for visiting and commenting! I had a look at the video you referenced, thought about it for a bit, and came up with some steps I think will achieve what you're after. I didn't include the change in size from the example you gave, but that can be done using track motion for the top track (the tinted swipe). For the details, see my new Introducing a Change in Color With a Swipe tutorial.

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I have been wanting to use the effects that I saw in the video below that was done by someone else (and I don't even know what program they used). It's so similar to your tutorial. Would you please help?

That effect is similar to yours, but involves a swipe transition that also uses a desatured/tinted video. Any ideas how I can do that? In this clip, the swipe is full-screen, over a smaller screen. You can see the effect in the middle of the video, around 44 seconds counted down.
