No Snapping
February 2nd, 2009 by Rob Strobbe | Filed under Tip of the Week.Vegas has a behavior called “snapping” in which events on the timeline, when nearing anything else significant such as the cursor, other events, or markers, “jumps” (or snaps) to that element. It’s Vegas’ way of helping you align events properly. But sometimes you might not want Vegas’ help. At those times, you can either disable snapping altogether by going to Options > Enable Snapping (it’s a toggle button) or disable it temporarily by holding down Shift on the keyboard while you move the event.
