		<description>I wouldn&#039;t presume to speak on Sony&#039;s behalf, but I&#039;ve never had the impression they&#039;re trying to compete specifically with Final Cut Pro. I think they just want Vegas to be its own program and able to provide the tools that its customers need.

As for a Mac version, I don&#039;t think they have the resources to write Vegas for an additional platform even if they wanted to. Sure, the larger Sony umbrella is huge, but Sony Creative Software is a rather small operation. They&#039;ve got enough on their plate just keeping their Windows applications up to date.</description>
